Swim Program
We pride ourselves on our robust swim program which is designed to teach your camper buildable swim skills. Under the direction of Beth Tedesco, FCS Director of Lower School Physical Education, the instructional swim program mirrors the Friends Central Aquatics swim school principles which is designed for summers who are just getting started all the way to experienced swimmers. Free swim periods allow campers to enjoy the pool in a less structured way. During both instructional and free swim there are at least 5 certified lifeguards on duty and campers bunk counselors are also on hand to keep an extra eye on their campers while they swim. Our campers come out of our swim program as better swimmers who are more confident in the water!
Adventure
Adventure is an opportunity for the campers in our oldest bunks to elect a weekly activity that highlights their individual skill sets and areas of interest. Each Adventure group is led by a counselor who has chosen to offer guided instruction in that specific activity. Campers can select the option that aligns best with their interests and preferences.
Themed Weeks
Themed weeks serve as a fantastic opportunity for our campers and counselors to come together and showcase their creativity. Our counselors develop their curriculum around a particular theme that culminates in an all-camp event on Friday. Through our thematic calendar, we champion collaboration, creativity, and the development of new skills while fostering a sense of camaraderie and fun. Themed weeks keep campers engaged, excited, and involved throughout the summer. A few camper favorite themes include Carnival, Superheroes, and the Tenderfoot 500.
