Tenderfoot Camp

Tenderfoot Camp is designed to welcome campers ages 3 to 6 years old. We offer a wide range of activities that cater to various interests, and we aim to provide a safe and engaging environment to ensure campers have a memorable summer experience. Activities include swimming, art, sports and games, music, maker ed, and more! Campers are placed in co-educational groups of similar ages, ensuring that the activities are appropriate for their developmental stage and encouraging positive social interactions with their peers. Tenderfoot Camp is staffed with qualified counselors who are trained to work with young children. Counselors provide guidance, supervision, and support, fostering a safe and enjoyable summer camp experience.

Please Note: all campers must be fully toilet-trained, no exceptions can be made.

Tenderfoot Camp 2025 Rates

We offer rate packages based on the number of weeks your camper will be attending camp. With packages ranging from three to all seven weeks, we offer families the flexibility to choose which weeks of camps work for them. While there is a three-week minimum enrollment requirement, the weeks of camp you choose do not need to be consecutive.

Full Day Tenderfoot Rate Packages

Half Day Tenderfoot Rate Packages (option available for 3 year old campers ONLY)

A deposit of $500 is due upon enrollment. Please review our cancellation policy prior to submitting an application.

We offer a $100 sibling discount per sibling after the first camper enrolled.

First time Tenderfoot campers receive a 10% enrollment discount.

Programming

Adventure

Adventure is an opportunity for the campers in our oldest bunks to elect a weekly activity that highlights their individual skill sets and areas of interest. Each Adventure group is led by a counselor who has chosen to offer guided instruction in that specific activity. Campers can select the option that aligns best with their interests and preferences.

Themes

Themed weeks serve as a fantastic opportunity for our campers and counselors to come together and showcase their creativity. Our counselors develop their curriculum around a particular theme that culminates in an all-camp event on Friday. Through our thematic calendar, we champion collaboration, creativity, and the development of new skills while fostering a sense of camaraderie and fun. Themed weeks keep campers engaged, excited, and involved throughout the summer. A few camper favorite themes include Carnival, Superheroes, and the Tenderfoot 500.

Extended Day Program

Good Morning Club (GMC) • 7:30-8:15 am
After Camp Experience (ACE) • 3:20-5:45 pm

Transportation

A shuttle between Trailblazer Camp on City Avenue and Tenderfoot Camp on our Lower School campus is offered to families enrolled in either camp. This will allow parents to drop off and pick up at only one location. There is no shuttle option for our extended day programs. More information, including pricing and schedule, will become available in the spring.
