Trailblazer Camp

Trailblazer Camp is designed to accommodate the special interests of children in rising grades 2-7. Campers begin each day with 5-6 periods of activities with their bunks. Some of these activities include instructional swimming (matches FCA curriculum), computer, tennis, archery, art, drama, crafts, and sports. Campers ages 7 to 10 are placed in co-ed bunks according to grade; 11 and 12-year-old campers are bunked by single gender according to grade. We do offer one older co-ed bunk for campers who prefer a co-ed camp experience.

Rising 2nd through 7th graders are eligible for Trailblazer Camp.

Trailblazer Camp 2025 Rates

We offer rate packages based on the number of weeks your camper will be attending camp. With packages ranging from three to all seven weeks, we offer families the flexibility to choose which weeks of camps work for them. While there is a three-week minimum enrollment requirement, the weeks of camp you choose do not need to be consecutive.

Three Weeks: $2,190
Four Weeks: $2,920
Five Weeks: $3,615
Six Weeks: $4,190
Seven Weeks: $4,480

A deposit of $500 is due with enrollment. Please review our cancellation policy prior to submitting an application.

We offer a $100 sibling discount per sibling after the first camper enrolled.

Programming

Fun With Friends
The excitement of FCS Summer Camp culminates in Fun With Friends, a celebration of weekly special events. Campers work with counselors in a cooperative manner, creating their own experiences. Highlights include the Fourth of July Celebration, Olympic Day, Carnival Day, Showtime, and the Trailblazer 500.

Pathfinder
Campers are invited to select an afternoon Pathfinder specialty activity to participate in. Each afternoon, campers receive instruction and develop skills in their chosen activity from instructors with specific expertise and experience. This allows campers to select areas of special concentration on a weekly basis over the course of the camp season. Detailed descriptions of all offered Pathfinder options will become available in the spring. Past Pathfinder options have included drama, crafts, archery, art, sports, tennis, and many more.

Extended Day Program

After-Camp Experience (ACE) • 3:20-5:45 pm

Transportation

A shuttle between Trailblazer Camp on City Avenue and Tenderfoot Camp on our Lower School campus is offered to families enrolled in either camp. This will allow parents and guardians to drop off and pick up at only one location. There is no shuttle option for our extended day programs. More information, including pricing and schedule, will become available in the spring.
